Life and such.

Warm weather with some showers moved in to my area recently.

It felt as the winter would never end. Now that the good part of the year is upon us, what do you guys plan on doing? So much to do, so little time...I've never been as ecstatic about the possibilities of life.
2 Name: Anonymous : 2013-05-12 15:55
Indeed, this winter was very long. It's so satisfying to finally see all the flowers popping up again and to hear the birds whistling in the trees with the freshest green.

I haven't got much concrete plans for this summer, but I think it might be time to look for a job. I hope I can find something that isn't just physical labour.

The crickets too, my god how I missed their chirping.

Something about warm summer nights make everything seem so nostalgic and as if it's all going to be alright.

It was cold today in the morning which is weird for a California summer. It got warmer at noon and now it's hot. I actually prefer the winter over any other season.

I'm going to (hopefully) get a job at a store called Tokyo Music soon. It sells music and Japanese nerd stuff. I usually go for the music since it's the only place that has old dub records like stuff by Scientist and Prince Jammy. It also has really obscure independent artists which are always fun to discover. I'll be working morning till noon, so most of my day is going to be free. Even when I'm there I'll probably just be playing grand strategy games on my laptop since there won't be many customers coming that early. Afterwards I'll go swimming.

>>3
For me it's the opposite. It's the cold winter nights that give me that feeling.

I really like the Scientist!

I like to lie in the hammock and read during the summer. Unfortunately it has been pretty cool here so I might have to wait a little while.

Showers have been the norm here lately. I keep riding my bike anyway though. So nice to ride along the trail every morning on my way to work. Can't wait for summer vacation time.

I had such a feel-good day. I rode my bike almost 20 miles to the city. All the while I had Escala and a vocaloid producer called “whoo” playing in my ears. Green trees and plant-life against azure skies and a wonderful breeze the whole way. I saw a flatscreen HDMI monitor on side of the road for free! I’m going to give it to my sister. After I saw a turtle trying to cross the road. I picked it up and carried it the rest of the way so it would not get run over.

In town I saw my therapist and had a good session with good advice. After I went to a local food market and got spinach, lettuce, and break. Also I decided to try something new and bought a seaweed bar. And the cashier filled up my water bottle for me, which I thought was really nice of her!
I later sat on a park bench and just let the wind blow over me and drank water for a while. Now I’m sitting at a big table in a large library on my netbook!I had such a feel-good day. Last night I got bored so I started driving around at 2 am. It was eerie. There were tons of lights on, but there wasn't a single soul out in the streets. I had on The Night by Morphine which was the perfect album for it.

The sky was a stark blue and the sun was beaming in my face. Only the horizon was widely littered with tiny clouds. It's safe to assume that they were so tiny because they were very far away. Let me explain to you why that's amazing.

Everyone experiences the world in their own little snowglobe. You can stand in an open field and your view will be limited to whatever objects will be standing in the distance. If you look over the ocean, you will be limited by the curvature of the earth. With this in mind, you can imagine a perimeter of your observable world. I like to think of that circle as a sphere, because there's rarely any noticable depth in the sky above you.

What makes the little clouds so amazing was that they broke my snowglobe. The clouds were much farther than the towns in the distance and they made my world feel much larger. My strides felt bigger and my actions more important. I had a great run as this bigger man.

That sounds really cute! Could you upload a photo to the photoboard?

Yesterday I woke up around 1:00PM and studied Hiragana. Then went outside from some archery practice. It was so nice out I brought out a blanket, a pillow, and some tea and sat in the sun to read my friends linguistics textbook. Got sunburned. Then I drove my scooter to the river for a swim. There was a bunch of kids there on the other side of the river. One kid was sitting in a tree over the river and was being made fun of for not wanting to go in the water because he saw a snapping turtle. I sat down next to him and told him the snapping turtles don't come after humans unless you hurt them, and that even then he does not have to go in the water if he does not want to, that it was his choice. I got him to smile and I jumped out of the tree and into the river for more swimming. After swimming back to the other side I got on my scooter and went home. Had a small dinner and went out for a run. And I ran longer than I have yet this summer! When I got back to my room I saw there was an email from my best friend saying she felt suicidal and did not know what to do. I spent until 3:00AM on a video call with her over XMPP talking her through it and making her feel better.

Today I drove to the bank and got a letter that said my medical services will be paid in full. Takes a big dark shadow out of my mind. I hate anything that has to do with money. It scares me. I also went to the bank and deposited my first paycheck of the summer.
Driving around on my scooter is pretty easy now. I've quickly gotten used to it and I can drive it pretty damn well. I'm glad there are no cops around here to catch me piloting an unregistered, uninspected, and unlicensed vihicle down the road at 55MPH.
Tonight I have the house to myself. I went outside with nothing but my boxers, socks, glasses, and my solar powered flashlight. I took off my glasses and looked at the stars. The black sky is clear as glass and the stars shine like raindrops in a sunbeam. I find it hard to keep balance when I'm looking straight up. I stumbled around my yard not breaking eye contact with the universe above me until my neck became sore and pinched. Living is bleak here, but I do love the forest. One of the things I will miss most when I move to the city in September is being able to look up at night and see the stars. I will miss these stars.

So I went back home at my parents house last weekend for some family related business. I was in the bathroom taking a leak and I noticed this peculiar design on the wall there. Now normally the walls look like some 2 colored mottled scribbles everywhere, but this time it was different. I noticed some kind of horse or fawn or something. I even took a picture of it after I was done with my business in there. Mind you, I've lived in that house for 19 years and not once did I notice this. I tried searching for any other hidden picture in there with no luck. Here's the picture I took, what do you guys think? Also, sorry for the very bad picture quality, I took it with a phone that is nearly 6 years old.
