Anyone got any favorite personal nature spots they just like to relax and hang out at? Pictures would be awesome if possible.

I'm making a lean-to that will face the direction the sun rises. I will post a photo when I have built more of it.

The back deck of my parent's house is the first place I thought of. It's higher than most decks I've seen; I can almost walk upright underneath it.
In the morning around this time of year, squirrels eat their acorn breakfasts in the oak limbs that arch over the house, dropping shells on the roof and deck. Sometimes it gets a little loud with that and all of the bird calls. Maybe you can see the squirrel in this picture: →/872/Photo456.jpg

I have a lot of pictures, and they're all equally garbage, so I'll just do a couple more.
This is a small nature preserve nearby.

And this is a picture I took from the side of the bike trail the other day.

There's a nice little trail by the river near my place. Sometimes I climb up the sides and just chill on the rocks. It's fairly secluded, considering the size and proximity of the city nearby. It's great at night, too.

There's this little wildlife sanctuary by the place where I work. It's a wetlands preserve. It's not very
big, you walk for maybe 15 minutes on a path made of wooden boards suspended over the marsh and get to a
central platform and that's it, but it's very nice. Even though it's right in the middle of this big
field, it feels so secluded and private. From the platform you can gaze out over the bay, watch the boats
and the gulls. There's an area that must have been a farm or a house at some point, but all you can see
are the boards and foundation sticking up out of the marsh. It's peaceful. I'll have to
take a picture sometime.

whenever we go camping, there's this place I always like to visit. there's no path to it, but I follow the telephone poles until I get there. it's this tree. it's so huge and tall! I feel so small when I look at it. there are some carvings on it, the basic "jen + rick forever" with a heart around it. there's some other stuff on it, but it's too old to read. I don't have a name for this tree as nothing I can think of suits it. but it is my friend and I love it.

there's that tiny little river flowing right next to some rails that I like. hard to explain I might take a few picture. I like it when city and nature coexists in some places.

I used to like to hang out near this tunnel under the highway in my town.
