Finished converting the old threads to fit the new board software. I'm working on them here: http://textboard.dynu.com/post/

Looks super comfy, Capey-sama!

Nice, I like the new fit options! That material board looks very modern.

Will the new software eventually run at the afternoon.dynu.com/letterbox.html domain?

Also, looks like the conversion may have broken a bit on some of the Japanese characters: http://textboard.dynu.com/read.cgi/post/1385658002 though it could just be my client rendering weirdly.

I dunno what >>6-san is using but it's broken in Gnu-Icecat as well.

Yes, when it's finished it'll move back here and old bookmarks will resolve to the new url scheme.
I'll have to look into the broken SJIS art, but I'll probably have to fix them by hand.

If you guys have suggestions for improvements, I'd love to hear them. I'm wondering which of the old changes should make a return (ie. stamps, stacked paper, thread information).

At least for the post office theme: All of them, please! I'd miss every single one. Especially the stamps and general letter look.

Personally, the only things I'd like to change are to make it single columned and to show more replies

The stacked paper would be good, it gives the fastest indication as to how long a thread is.

Is it just me, or does the Post Office have some odd caching issues? Using Chrome 45.0.2454.93 and I have to Shift+F5/clear the cache to view my own posts after I've submitted one and it goes back to the main textboard page.

Same with me on Icecat and Midori.

This is already addressed in the new software.

I'll have to add these things when the software is in a more complete stage. Then I'll move the site to new hosting and software (that also means more space for images in the photoboard). You can track the progress of the software here: https://github.com/oprel/emanon/

Thanks capey.

So does this mean we'll be on the older version of the software until the the new one (which SAoVQ is already on, presumably?) has the "Post Office features" added?

Yes, SAoVQ is already on the new software and is helping me find bugs in the software that I couldn't find myself. I'm holding off on moving the Post Office to the new software, because I'm still actively developing it and it would be inconvenient to keep the code up to date in three different places. There's no hurry for new software here and when it will arrive it'll work much better.

The Post Office features won't take long to implement and the thread conversion script and most of the CSS is already finished, so when the software is (mostly) finished, the move will be a quick process.
