We should post poems we write and improve our writing together. I'll start.

The tower of Babel
So tall and proud
She sits above all
None her equal, she sees few others

Above the clouds
Within her mind
She ponders of such things
Only she can understand

Her mind so clear
Herself and floating heads keep company
They tell her she's infailable
They scream of her triumphs

They dismantle what was
To build anew, so brave!
They mock those who can't understand
They look down to you

They live high above us
Each of them blind
To the plight of the rest of us
At the base

We built this tower
Though no longer our own
And with the strength it took to build we've the power
To retake this ivory tower
