ADHD Medication

4 Name: Anonymous : 2018-02-04 20:43
I've been taking ADHD medication since grade school, I can't remember exactly how long. I used to only need it to focus on work, but in the past year it's become really difficult for me to get through everyday life without it. Stuff like showering, feeding myself properly, even doing stuff I enjoy becomes such a huge hassle. I don't know whether this is a result of taking the medication for so many years or just because my life has become a little more stressful lately.

Sometimes it feels like being on the medication makes such a big difference to the point where I'm a different person. I know this isn't a productive line of thinking, and plenty of people need medication to function, but I can't shake this feeling that I'm not "me" when I'm on it. I also hate how it makes me feel on edge and frisky. I don't like any of it, but I don't want to fail out of college so I'm going to stick with it for now.

I apologize for the blogpost, I thought that my experience might help other people struggling with the same thing.
