I did find that misago backup while I was looking for communities that remembered the YKK anime/manga series. Reading through the posts, I could tell it was a backup - of http://ykk.misago.org. The board style's unlike anything I've ever seen. Perhaps it was based on a really early version of kareha? Or maybe, much like the post office here - a top-level custom job?

What happened to this ancient predecessor? What factors caused this community to be shelved into a read-only backup?
