Funky dreams

I had a really funky dream from my nap but I can barely remember it. All I know is that it shook the shit out of me. What have your dreams been like recently other anons? Have you been able to sleep lately with that thing being there?

In the last dream I had, I felt awkward being on the bus with someone, so I got off it early, even though it was well before my stop. Just to get out of that situation with the other person. So I was trying to walk to my destination, but I was a little lost. It was a rural area and all the fields were pretty, but there wasn't much to it. I'm more used to cities. Then someone in a white 2004 Ford Mustang tried to run me over, repeatedly, but they failed because I could walk out of the way at the last second. I eventually found a tower-like apartment complex that I crawled up the side of in order to escape the crazy person in the Mustang. This apartment complex, or whatever you want to call it, was very weird. It was extremely thin, and there was basically only one apartment per floor. There was an elevator in the middle, and the rest of the apartment went around it. It was a thin and circular building. But I was basically trespassing on people's property. Somehow, I made it into someone's apartment, and they didn't really mind, except that the added uneven weight distribution of my body being on one side of the tower made it start to lean to one side. Apparently the building was designed to be able to lean, but it still freaked me out. I'll get on my better computer to draw it.

Last dream I remember was from one of my slumbers a few days ago. Dreamt I had a portal that spawned demons in my bathroom, so I had to nail the door shut to keep the world safe.

Then I had to use the toilet.

I normally don't remember my dreams but sometimes if they are particularly traumatic I do, for example in one dream I skinned my left leg and then got very bad diarrhea in my grandparents bathroom. It was pretty scary because I was worried my leg would get infected. I think in the dream it was a fashion statement or something (the skinning) but the feeling of air on my exposed muscle still makes my skin crawl.

I had a dream a few week's ago that I died (don't remember how) and I got submerged in this liquid more dense than water. Everything was grey with wiggly lines and I felt like my senses and sight was combined somehow.
I think I was being born again because that is what it felt like

For the past few weeks most of my dreams have been like that. I usually wake up at 3am covered in sweat and my sleep is interrupted for the rest of the night. It's taking a toll on me.

last month i had this intense dream where it felt like I was rolling on MDMA but way more intense and nice-feeling than anything I've ingested before, and when I woke up I still felt a bit shaken and weird, and for like a day I was worried my brain had somehow tricked itself into releasing too much serotonin and that I'd get sad the day after or would have a huge tolerance
11 Name: Anonymous : 2019-02-07 22:21
Not exactly a dream, but it's close enough. You'll see what I mean.

When I was still in high school, I was sleeping soundly but had woken up for a reason unknown at that moment. I lay face down, and as my consciousness was flowing back into me, I realized that there was an arm that did not belong to me laying across my stomach. At this point I'm having a major panic moment. "Who's arm is this? No one should be in my room, ever. Is there a dead person in my bed?"

After about a minute of this and a very small attempt at wiggling myself out of the situation, I decide that nothing is going to happen by just laying there. I force the arm out from under me, and quickly realize that it was my own arm that I had been laying on, and had cut feeling to it. I was so spooked (I don't scare easily), but I was having a pretty good laugh too. I did turn on the lights though just to be absolutely sure that nothing was in my bed.

I had a dream that every single one of the old internet communities I was part of had resurrected with all the people I knew on them coming back. I was a little disappointed when I realized it's only a dream.

Last night, I had a dream that I was travelling to Wisconsin, but then my phone's GPS stopped working, so I got lost. I ended up in some redneck area, and I went down some one-way road that led to a farm, and had to turn around. I had no idea where I was going. Some redneck dude pulled a gun on me for being near his farm. I sped off to get away. I eventually found a hotel. I later found out that it was in an area called Washington, Wisconsin, which was on a remote island next to a volcano (don't ask how this is supposed to make sense in Wisconsin). I got a room and someone complained about me being there, because people in small rural communities don't like outsiders. Then, during the night, the entire hotel collapsed, and I had to leave. I made it out okay, except that I could only get my laptop and phone, and I don't remember what happened to my car. Then someone offered to let me stay the night somewhere, but it involved going underwater, and I couldn't go that far, so they offered to let me stay with them, but only if I started working at a nearby gas station. I explained that I was only in the area temporarily and going to visit someone but they insisted that I start working as a cashier there. I don't remember what happened after that, but then I woke up.

I had a strange dream. A lot happened but around the end of it I literally fucked some woman (at least I hope it was not rape) and then there was some loading bar and then I heard "insémination terminée" then I had a kid and I woke up

So I had a really funky dream last night. I was out swimming in some random lake (it was mentioned it was in England for some reason) when it suddenly got really stormy and the waves started coming up. These were fucking HUGE waves, and all the families and children started screaming around me, so I blitzed it back to shore by surfing(?) on a smaller wave(???). When i got back to shore I walked into a subway for some reason, but it wasn’t a subway inside, it was actually a medieval tavern, with a bard and everything. Someone says “welcome, traveller” and I wake up.

I still don’t know how to make sense of that.

I keep having stressful dreams lately. Things like missing flights, getting arrested, awkward situations...

Not sure what it all means to be honest.
19 Name: Anonymous : 2019-04-16 21:47
They just keep coming. There was another funky dream today. I was talking a walk in my neighbourhood park at night when I head some sort of inhuman screaming, so I ran over TO it for some reason instead of bolting the fuck away like a normal person. It turned out to be a baby, which fell over, shit itself, and cried. It was holding a phone with a call from 45 45, but it ended before I could answer it. A family walks over from the path and a middle aged man talks to me about the weather, completely oblivious to the abandoned baby tearing its lungs out in front of him. Then I wake up.

I’m not making this shit up man.

Pulled out a tape measure from my pocket.
Proceeded to measure some value.
Feeling of warmth.

Oh yeah, here’s a good one:
I dreamt up some sort of interplanetary space opera with actual proper history and everything. We were part of a democratic good-guys state based on earth, while the moon and presumably some other planets were basically operated by the space nazis. They set up a fighter mass-production factory on the moon, and the dream was mostly about the Normandy-esque landings that happened

I wasn’t one of the moon landing soldiers though, I was just some dude on the ground tasked with setting up a radio station in an overgrown jungle. Cue about 2 mental hours of cutting through vines with a machete. When I reached a clearing, it was the most beautiful thing I ever saw, think minecraft with shaders, but without the blocks, in real life. Like an elysium wheat field.

I woke up sweating. Today is hot.

I had a dream that could be divided into a few parts. In the first part I was watching a popular twitch streamer live, but I got so bored or anxious while watching that I took the controller to play the game myself for 10mins until I died. The streamer didn't say anything and when I said sorry, I had to play the game, he said it was cool. Though I felt bad and figured I should donate 200$ later on in the week to make it up to him. I didn't want people to think I was being a jerk.

Since I felt bad I went upstairs to a bedroom and decided that I needed to exercise, right then a trainer, a fit south american guy, and his client, a very old lady start to use the room with me, taking up alot of space. I forget what they talked about other than the trainer saying he hates rap music, since it talks about drinking and weed. So he drills a cable into the wifi router and attaches a cable that leads to a floppy disk reader and plays folk country on floppy disks while his client starts half heartedly using a spin machine.

AT this point I'm doing pushups and I overhear that the client and trainer have a suicide pact and since I'm a witness they're planning on killing me too! The trainer shoots the client in the head and turns the gun on me. I run out of the room and downstairs where now I'm in my family's living room. I tell them there's a guy with a gun upstairs and we have to get out but nobody believes me. I try to dial 911 but I'm so nervous I dial 912 instead. My uncle says he's going to investigate and starts going upstairs. I run outside to the neighbours, screaming and banging on their door to get help and they start freaking out. The neighbours call for help but they only call their aunt to come in her car so they can run away. My mom finally understands how freaked out I am so gets in her van to drive me away. As I get in and look back at our house, I see the gunman again, chasing us. My mom gets so flustered that she swerves in the car, even though I repeatedly tell her to remain calm and that there's nothing wrong with going the speed limit as long as we're getting away, that she crashes into a tree. As the car starts rolling and stops I get out and can still see the gunman chasing after us.

At this point everything in the world get swarmed with bulls. Like running with the bulls in Spain tier. I look out into our neighbourhood park and I see a body hanging by a noose from a tree. The bulls are trying to knock it off. Then I become a bull and try to get away from the gunman but I'm too slow, I can't run fast enough. Some people are outside to try to kill the bulls using spears but I dodge them and then I can see him again, the gunman, looking for me. I wait behind a corner. As soon as he turns I surprise him and charge, he starts running away turning around to fire a pistol at me, but I swerve left and right and don't stop. I eventually catch up to him, knock him down, and trample him to death. That's when I woke up.

The only meaning I can derive, at least from the first part, is that I've probably outgrown watching twitch streamers, even if some of them are entertaining, and should just play the damn games myself.

I had a dream last night where I was chilling with some friends in a waterfront apartment in a city that was half-sunk into the ocean. We heard that apparently a giant monster named "trogdor" would be attacking soon. For whatever reason this didn't really cause panic so much as mild interest in getting to see such an event. Eventually he showed up, and we watched him rampage through the half-sunk buildings from afar. It was strangely comfortable standing out on the balcony trying to get a good eye on him attempting to knock buildings over.

I dreamed of a fest held on my local market square.
It has this fountain with some kind of sculpture in it, which for some reason was now a poseable sculpture of Godzilla.
A horseman was singing and playing guitar and I moved Godzilla so as if he was dancing to the horsemans tune.
From time to time I spat fire, such as that it'd appear like Godzilla had fired his beam.

Kougami from Psycho-Pass has just returned to Japan and is sitting on a park bench. A person walks up and takes a seat beside him. Who is it? It's none other than his old colleague Aoba from New Game. They chat for a bit. Aoba mentions how much she's missed him. Kougami then rummages through her pencil case for an eraser. He has a hard time finding one because there were so many pencils.

In my dream, I experienced the bliss of pure experience. I had to write a note to myself for when I came back to my senses, so that I wouldn't forget the way I felt. When I woke up, I had forgotten about the note. Re-reading the note, I could remember the sensation of wanting to write it, but my memory was foggy and vague. I know it happened, but I can't remember exactly what it was like.

It seems a lot of monsters are showing up in our dreams.
I had one a while back that I still recall clearly. In my case, the monsters were humanoids with spherical limbs and plastic-like red and yellow skin, similar to cartoon caricatures of robots, but they infected and turned people into more monsters like zombies do. So everyone hid and tried to build shelters. But at some point, the sky became orange and black like fire and it was clear that a serious, world-ending threat was occurring that superseded the threat of the monsters, so much so that people began willingly getting infected in hopes that the greater strength of the monsters would help them survive.
I stayed in my shelter with some others and we watched as even the monsters became scared of whatever was happening and decided that escaping the planet was their only hope. Their plan was to climb one another to build a living tower, tapering to a single monster at the top. Then, in unison, they would all lean back then forward and whip the one at the top into space.
I woke up before I could see the outcome of their amusing plan.

My dreams are always awful with apocalyptic scenarios with pain, misery, and constant loss. I honestly wish I couldn't dream most of the time. It's beyond extremely rare that I have an enjoyable dream. Then those dreams are usually a romantic situation that's impossible to ever happen.

I have helped people with this sort of thing before. There is always a reason and a way to resolve this sort of issue.
Who or what causes the suffering in your dreams? Is there some sort of person or figure or monster in your dreams that threatens you or is it more existential?

Nothing in particular is reoccuring other than "doom" itself. I usually lose loved ones or end up isolated and completely alone. Most of the time I end up dying myself.

Last night I had a dream that my reality-crazy mother took an 18-wheeler and drove through as many mansions as possible. When I exited the truck, I was looking for my computer in order to tell my two reality-important online friends that I was going to kill myself shortly due to being unable to afford the damages. However, I couldn't find a keyboard and there is no way that I would kill myself without saying my goodbyes to them (in reality), so I never got to the suicide part in the dream either. I found a whole bunch of N64's though instead of keyboards.

I usually wake up. My dreams are very strange but very vivid to the point where I can remember everything as if I'm lucid dreaming on top of everything else. Sometimes things are so realistic I question my self when I wake up thinking things aren't real.

I am squeezing through this narrow passage of black rock like obsidian. It's crawling with spiders, but I'm not afraid. I reach a place where the ceiling is tall enough for me to stand. In the darkness, on a slab like a makeshift throne, sits a slender, charcoal-skinned woman. She's naked. The shine of many smaller eyes decorates her forehead. Her long legs are like blades. She smiles, her teeth the only white in her. Her legs move slightly apart as we lock eyes, and I'm compelled to come close and touch her and kiss her beautiful body.
So basically we have really steamy sex. I woke up right on time after we finished, before she could decide to eat me.

I also had a sexual dream, which is weird because I usually don't. (Probably because I went to bed right after hunting for obscure 90s hentai OVAs.)

I was playing this really old-looking video game - like, NES or Gameboy-style - about a Raymond Chandler-esque detective. I was in the office of my police chief, who for some reason was really big on-screen, and his attractive blonde wife. Like a lot of dream logic, I was both "playing" the game and "in" it at the same time. I was having a conversation with the chief, when his wife chimed in and said how she was going to the bathroom, cheekily alluding to waiting for him to join. When the conversation ended, though, I noticed that the chief hadn't moved from his desk, so decided to press my luck and enter the bathroom with his wife. Lo and behold, my character - and, vicariously, me - began to feel up and undress her, locking the door behind him. (The office led into the bathroom, which, in retrospect, was a pretty daring place to have an affair.) I got to seeing the woman half-naked in the mirror (pink panties, if you were wondering) before waking up. I remember somehow knowing that you could do this three times over the course of the game, and the chief would become increasingly more belligerent with you. That scene seemed to be the only "real" part of the game, where it was like I was in first-person or watching it as an animated movie.

I thought it was really neat, actually, and it seems like the kind of game I'd like to play if it existed.

This morning, I had a dream that I had just bought a new automatic bed that had an adjustable backboard. When I adjusted it to an angle, though, I noticed that it moved straight upwards, and thought that something must be blocking the moving parts on the inside.

I looked below the bed, and found none other than my grandfather sitting in a second bed below it, part of my bed pressed up against his face. I moved the backboard to its original position, freeing him, and he laughed about it, but his face looked really squished. Then I woke up.

I hate to think what this says about my psyche.

I had a strange dream where I was being shot at by a bunch of crazy militias. Then miraculously I somehow survived. Then was being comforted by Felicity Smoak from Arrow, she was teaching me how to code while giving me a handjob. I woke up right as I was about to cum. That would have been the 2nd time in my entire life I would have had a wetdream. I'm not even young anymore, so it's just kind of odd to me about that.

My last dream was definitely "funky" I smoked weed with Bernie Sanders and was helping him promote his campaign. I also met this Asian girl who I ended up playing some Yu-Gi-Oh! with and we ended up getting together. Next thing I know Bernie was playing a saxophone with Bill Clinton while she was rubbing my leg. Right before I woke up while I was "getting down" with my new waifu some T-Rex busted through the room demanding I treat him and his "Dino bros" much better. Suddenly I realized I was Rex Motherfuckin' Raptor.

Last night I had a dream that I was playing the "ultimate" horror video game.

It took place on a spaceship, and you had to evade a monster by floating through a massive series of interconnected tunnels in zero-G, ducking behind walls constantly to hide. The monster looked like an eyeball on top of a tentacle, and was actually not that scary at all, but kind of "faded in" over the screen, so you always had to be on your toes. The game always started looking at the monster's backside through a glass window near the centre of the spaceship, and the goal was to reach the outside by navigating the tunnels.

I remember having absolutely no intention of actually finishing it, so I just tried to look around and see what I could do. The monster would always fade in near-immediately, so I had to constantly go back into the pause menu and restart the game before it jump-scared me. The game started off with a sinister voice saying "Of all my creations, I think this one is the best.", which seemed to refer to the game itself rather than anything in it.

I'm not sure why but the only time I ever have vivid dreams are wetdreams. They counterintuitively happen when I both end up sleeping late (1:30am or so) and have been experiencing some sort of stress.

Same for me, except for the going to sleep late bit. I typically have vivid wet dreams when I'm under heavy stress, but when I go to sleep late, I pretty much never have dreams under any circumstance. I was lucky enough to almost have one the other day, but usually (and with this case too) happens is I wake up before being able to cum.

The only recent dream of note I can remember is this one I had a few weeks, months back: It was night, and I was cycling on a road near my home. The road is a little bit higher than the surrounding grassland and goes along a dried out anti-flooding water reservoir. The reservoir is overgrown with small trees and bushes, but, because it gets flooded maybe twice a year, no bigger trees can grow in it. Anyways, so I am cycling along this road, and it was pretty warm even tough I was only wearing light clothes (probably a summer night), and when I looked up, I saw a beatiful night sky, but it was strangely split into an abundance of stars on one side (I think it was the right side) and a complete absence of stars on the other, and a glistenly bright line seperating the two halves.

The odd thing here the past couple of nights is I haven't been dreaming at all but feeling as if I had an intense REM state after only sleeping for a few hours. The past two nights I can't sleep more than three hours. I even cut my daily coffee out to see if that would help and if anything I feel as if it's more difficult to relax. Withdrawals maybe?

I took some melatonin due to not being able to get enough sleep. I had some very strange dreams even one of my dreams had me getting shot in the head. Where I proceeded to "float" out of my body to fly around watching everything as they dragged my body into a ritualistic circle to burn it. Then another dream had me having sex with some girl inside of a department store who was trying to save her dad from cancer. I apparently gave her some money to help out with the cause and she "rewarded" me. I also had a strange dream where someone told me to use honey when I bake cookies the next time. There was some other strange events during these dreams but those three stuck out the most for some reason.

I've been having less and less abstract dreams lately. I lost the habit of writing them down, so I don't remember much of them. I need to start writing them down again, having a dream diary is pretty cool.

Every one of my recent dreams have been directly related to something that has happened within the last couple weeks, or something that I need to do in a few days. A lot of approaching deadlines for things I've never been prepared to face.

Last night I had a dream about, of all people, Dave Chapelle. I was watching a stage musical about his life and career, and how he moved from another country to America (which is weird, because he was born there) to become a comedian. There was a part where he was speaking to an older black guy - either his father or a priest - who was preaching about how other black men had succeeded without the help of Dave’s connections. There was also a rap segment about the decadence of Hollywood that I seemed to think was satirical, where a hot blonde woman stripped-teased to cheers in the audience.

WHAT DOES THAT SAY ABOUT ME?

I had a dream that was kind of a hybrid between Eve Online (which I've been binge playing for the last 3 weeks, space MMO) and Star Citizen (which I have never played, supposed to be a space MMO). We flew through space doing my usual space-job that I actually do in game, but we docked up on some sort of study/science-station. It was a station that had breathable air, and natural looking earth formations.

So (my guildmates in-game but co-workers in-dream) exit the transport ship that I usually fly, don't see anybody when we get out, and we enter an office looking building.
We enter the building, but all of the walls are definitely not where one would expect them to be, and they all had a space that you could see under where a wall and a floor would meet (kind of like a bathroom stall). So these walls are just randomly placed pretty much everywhere, with only a few of them making actual rooms. We make it through the building without seeing anybody or anything, into a warehouse area with garage doors leading outside.

We get outside, and a large and aggressive robot bear sees us and starts running towards us. We somehow realize that the pathfinding on it is a little weird (algorithm used for AI entities to reach a potentially moving destination) so I had one of my friends get to the other side of a cliff while it's chasing me, then do something to make it chase him instead. It works, and the robot bear falls down into the chasm between the two cliffs. We walk back to the ship, congratulate each other on a successful mission (despite not bringing anything back) and then I wake up.

Last night was one of the most "real" dreams I've had in a while, at least in messaging. The actual content was as absurd as any dream I've had. Recently I've been becoming increasingly paranoid about privacy and freedom in the future, probably from reading too much conspiracy on Lainchan, especially with Corona shutting everything down. The dream I had involved having my personal information leaked to fascist sympathizers by hostile parties in the midst of a boogaloo.

I was taking a walk and there was this middle-aged Chinese guy on the road. I muttered, for no reason at all, something like "ching chong". I would never do that. This man looked at me very offended and said, what did you say? Why did you say that? I swore I didn't say anything. I was really hurt by how upset this man was, and he looked like he was having a really bad day already. Why am I such an asshole in dreams? Is this my true nature?

For some reason I wa desperately looking for my local radio station online as an Internet radio but it took me very long to gind it. When I found it, there were actually three radio stations: the main one and two others with specific themes. One of them was hosted by a local farmer who was talking about the local nature and wildlife and stuff. I tuned in and I was suddenly seeing a video of him driving his tractor along the local river. The tractor had a wierd mechanical contraption like a huge shovel that was extracting all the mud from the river bed.
A documentary voice was commenting, that the mud isn't good anymore and that it needs to be replaced. Apparently the farmer was sending samples of this river mud to a university in china where scientists analyse it and try to improve it. If the mud in the river was better, the trees next to it would be healthier they claimed.
Suddenly I was in that university in china in some kind of laboratory and an old chinese professor was explaining to me how old giant trees benefit from nutritious river mud. In the lab was also a gigantic really old lookinh treey covered in moss and with sprawling roots and I remember feeling really amazed by the sheer size of it. It looked kinda swampy/jungle-ish too. Apparently I was getting a guided tour through this lab and some old school mates were with me now (not even my friends, I actually didn't like these people). We had a break from the tour and decided to eat at a fast food restaurant. Waiting in line I commented on how I expected the chinese to wear masks because of the pandemic because I saw no one outside wearing one. Then my school mate pointed out that people put them on as soon as they enter the restaurant. Suddenly EVERYONE was wearing a mask but me and I nervously searched my pockets and only found a used hanky I held infront of my mouth. The others joked how this wouldn't help and started blowing air in my face.
That made me so uncomfortable that I woke up.

I used to get a dream kind of like sleep paralysis as a kid. When it would happen I would feel like I've woken up, I can see my room and everything, but I can't move. Well, I can, but moving at all, even just an inch, takes a herculean effort.

I hear my closet door creak. Now, nothing good ever lives in closets and I realize that if I don't get moving right away that I'm probably going to die. Whatever's coming out of that closet probably has all sorts of teeth and claws and god knows what else. I feel fear and adrenaline coursing through my veins. If I don't do something know then who knows what'll happen.

I move my arm towards the side of the bed. It feels like I'm an old man, and that every muscle in my arm atrophied away millions of centuries ago. My arm creaks into place and I feel the bedrail and grip it with all my strength. The strength of a thousand gnats. It doesn't take a lot to move a kid though and I manage to pull myself off the bed and I land heavily on the floor.

I'm still too weak to stand but at least a little bit of my strength is coming back, just enough to get up on all fours. I crawl forwards, slowly, my muscles straining against the invisible shackles. Fortunately my door is open, I'm not sure if I'd have been able to open a door in that sort of state. I crawl through.

Behind me I hear the closet door swing open.

My heart is racing now. I can hear whatever it is, some putrescent closet monster straight from the 5th dimension lurching towards me. My crawl speeds up. I know that if I don't start moving now then I won't be moving for much longer. The stairs down are just ahead, my bedroom as a kid was on the second floor. At the bottom of those steps was the living room, and a door that led to the outside world. I knew that if I could get down the stairs and make it the 20 feet to the door that I would be safe.

Stairs. Crawling down them is a bit of a challenge and I wasn't in any position to stand. Honestly though, there's a faster way to get down stairs. I roll down. I figure if this part was real I probably would have broken something but I land at the bottom no worse for the wear. Not even a scratch.

Still though, I can't stand. I crawl towards the door. That roll probably gave me a few seconds but I can hear the beast coming down the stairs behind me. I can almost feel its breath. I look behind me. Fuck.

It's right behind me, I can almost reach out and touch it. I can't really see what it is, maybe it's pure darkness, maybe it's a werewolf, but I can't focus enough on the shape to make it out. The werewolf(?) roars and I leap forwards at the sound.

I'm on my feet now stumbling towards the door. I grab the handle and pull. I PULL. The door is locked.

My arm is shaking as I undo the locks on the door. Why did my parents always use all three locks, all at the same time, every time, why is one lock never enough? I open all the locks in record time, throw the door open, and jump through the portal to safety

as a claw wraps around my leg.

I feel a searing pain in my midsection.

And I wake up. I'm back in my bed. But why can't I move?

Here's the fun part, this would always repeat until I made it out or until morning hit. This was a recurring dream and usually it'd take 4 or 5 tries to get out. Eventually though I figured out I could just open up my window and jump out of that. That turned out to be a trick I used a lot in dreams, there's windows in basically every building and if I could get through one then my brain would just stop caring about anything behind me and I would end up in a completely different place, almost a different dream.

I had a dream where I was on a car trip going back to the west of the country with 3 friends, 2 I've never met in my life and the third labeled K.

The car was very old and tended to break down every often, it was very tiring driving that thing even though I never drove a car or sat in the driver seat of one in my life. We'd switch places every now and then.

The final car's breakdown happened to be next to one of my friends' secondary house or something like that. It was just us there. We put the car in the garage, my friend started working on it while my other 2 friends, K being one of them, moved to the other room to rest. Opposed to me who isn't a fan of phoneposting and preferred to just look at the walls, each one of them got their phone out and started scrolling social media which I don't mind, we were resting and there wasn't much to talk about anyway. I was busy with my own thoughts it seemed...

What's nice about about this dream is that they were very nice to me, they were talkative, they taught me how a lot of things about cars since I didn't know much about it on every time the car died on us in the middle of the road where we had to repair it and even had a long conversation with my friend in the garage explaining the mechanics of it before I moved to the other room to rest.

Friend 1 was the cars guy, he was honest, mature, kind and seemed didn't seem like a guy in his early 20s compared to us, I saw him more of an older person that I respect. Friend 2 was very friendly, somewhat hard to approach because of his open and social nature. He was also very funny from what I remember.

The room we sat in put me and my two friends in a dorms lifestyle setting mostly because it was old, bland and very similar to the university dorms I live in. The beds were on the floor. The tap water and some food kinds made us uncontrollably fart just like dorms, exactly like it. We tended to fart in K's room a lot when just the two of us and of course had the window open most of the time otherwise we'd suffocate.

Because I come from (and currently went back to) a forcefully quiet lifestyle because I lack the people I feel comfortable communicating with, I treasure unplanned random serious but funny talks about whatever subject. We talked about life in general and its concepts and it felt like such a psychedelic dream. I remember asking each other about our romantic relationships before university. I shamefully lied about mine and said that I've been in one for 3 months or so then quickly expressed that love isn't really my thing.

Other talks carried on then for some reason, friend 2 and K pulled their phones towards me and each one of them displayed a menu of books and pointed to the one they were going to gift me. The first one was The ego and his own by Max Stirner, which I have yet to read, by friend 2. I don't remember K's book but it was labeled as personal and deeply touched me so I started crying joyfully and I let out a silent fart... I covered my eyes while crying of course.

They started laughing about "the smell of my joy" which was a very funny joke and made me laugh uncontrollably for a while that it led me to laugh out loud while asleep for couple of seconds too as I felt it while waking up from the dream. I woke up happy.

I wish I could message K and let him know about all of this but he has given me signs in the past about how he doesn't feel the same way about our close friendship and wishes to discontinue it after time politely or downgrade it to an acquaintance one. I showed discomfort and concern about it but him choosing to change to a different school 500Km away separated us forever killing every chance of us remaining friends... Him moving to a different school was for the best of course so I never thought of it as a bad thing.

It's just that he was the first person to make me feel that he *is* the friend I *want* to be my best friend but that didn't happen. While the ending is unfortunate, I really liked the times we've experienced together and wished that they'd last longer.

Thank you K.

I had a very lucid dream a few days ago. I had been up for around 25 hrs at that point and desperately just wanted to get to sleep. But the heat and a few noisy neighbors saw to it that it wasn't going to come easily.

I shifted between waking, and dreaming states and in both states I was in my bed. So while awake I was in my bed wanting to sleep. While I was in my dream, I also REALLY wanted to go to sleep.

But in my dream, my room was displaced into a warehouse where it was midday in a rundown section of some large city. During the dream I kept hearing someone banging on a garage door, as if they were trying to break in. As I tried to get out of bed within the dream it's like I had sleep paralysis WITHIN my dream. My eyes were heavy and my limbs refused to work.

I was able to snap myself out of it, and reached for my pistol on my dresser as I heard footsteps approaching. I pointed this very plain pistol at my bedroom door and pulled the trigger (which does not resemble my actual one at all. This one looked like it was straight out of a PS1 game)

The pistol did not discharge, which alerted me to this being a dream, as I was trained by my father who was police to always have a round in the chamber in case of emergency. I got out of my dream bed and walked into the next room to do a sweep because I definitely heard footsteps and a voice. When I entered this room it was midnight. But looking back into the other, I could still see sunbeams from the windows.

I moved past the darkened window in the midnight room and paused to look at a light switch on the wall. But for some reason I knew that I had seen a figure standing by the window. So I turned and fired, knocking this man down on the ground. This man stumbled back and in the light it was revealed that he was invisible except for a bandana wrapped around his face, sunglasses, and a very fitting suit.

I remember being very angry that he would keep me from sleeping and pointed the gun at him again, but he slowly disappeared (spiderman in infinity war style). As he turned to dust I reached for his shoes in anger, but they also turned to dust in my hands. Then I heard more banging on the garage door. I quickly made my way back to my bed, laid down, and then closed my eyes.

Then I awoke in a cold sweat. I looked at the clock and I hadn't been asleep for more than 45 minutes. I spent the next three hours sipping tea and playing civ v to calm my nerves.

In the future or an alternate dimension people travel to the past or our present/dimension to save people who have been traumatized. There's extra-dimensional creatures who feed on trauma and kill people, and when these people are eaten or killed their bodies become frozen and distorted across multiple dimensions, disrupting the other dimensions and timelines. Sam is a person tasked with crossing timelines/dimensions and preventing these people from experiencing these events or dying from them.

In a hangar there's a woman frozen in the center but she's giant-sized, as big as the whole building, and covered in frost like cobwebs. Her head has fallen off, like it was cut, and it's hanging in midair perpendicular to her body. Across her face is a projection like a movie of a scene from her childhood playing, and it's like a crack in space. The hangar was built around her to contain her distortion. Sam puts on a suit and walks towards the crack in/on her face and as he gets closer he distorts and becomes larger/smaller. He finally lays down next to her face and looks into her eyes and rolls into the cracked space. There's a tether connecting him to an air supply. He falls out on the other end into a suburban bedroom. The girl is a child laying on the bed and there are people screaming downstairs. He knows the monster is down there too looking for her but if he leaves her she might die so he sits with her and speaks with her in his strange space suit. He tries to calm her down and tell her everything will be okay after this. While he's speaking with her I wake up.

In a somewhat ruined outer borough (not wrecked, just slummy) I am wandering about. It's a colorful part of town, all criss crossing walkways and inticing signage. At some point I get to a town square, it is twilight hours, so the sky is purple and orange. I look back at the main borough and, paying proper attention for the first time, i take stock of just how staggeringly tall the centeral radio attenna is. It juts out, above the clouds. Such that even from miles away you have to crane your neck painfully back in order to take in the full height. I decide it'd be worth taking a photo of it so I attempt a few with my phone camera, but they dont come out quite right.

I like this thread so I'm summoning it back from the depths.

I don't remember my dreams often, but sometimes I write incoherent rambles them while half asleep before I can forget. Here's the latest ones that vaguely make sense:

There's a killing game type thing in a small town. Someone is randomly assigned the killer, and you have to kill someone and successfully hide the body while everyone is constantly watching you.

I signed up for a maid job and got it. The employer guy makes an offer to "clean" your presence off the entire internet.. but only if you do something for him. I don't know if I took up his offer or not.

I go to the beach with my Aunt, who I've went to the beach with a few years back, which is ironic. And we found a seashore shop that sold vapes, which is also ironic because I hate smoking. I couldn't see far past the shore the entire dream.

I move into an abandoned home and my mother helped me move in. She kept telling me not to go towards the back of the house but I ignore her and do anyway cause it was MY house. There was tons of gold and some weird trinkets with what I defined as "superpower symbols."

Wandering through a massive ghost mall.

There are many closed down or half functional stores.
A formerly bath and body store that seems to have been torn limb from limb, a few people remain, picking through the remnants and scraps.

A department store elegantly boarded up with moulded stained wood, like a casket for a whole building.

One where people keep their keys on a massive hook wall. Clearly it has seen better days, and seems functionally closed except for the small figure hunched over near the middle of the room on a chair. Yet there are still a scattering of keys going up upon this 12 foot tall wall of small hooks at the back of this dingy yellow room with a glass front wall.

Sleep has been rubbish for months now. Last night I dreampt I was in my Fathers house, looking over the side of my bed onto the desk with a TV. I was trying to get Tony Hawks Pro Skater 4 to work on a PS2 with a PS! grey dualshock. It was working but I was having to mess with the AV cable at the back to get the sound to come through.

On screen Homer Simpson was skating around, and the TV was kind of fuzzy coming in and out. The vert rams were really high.

I was kind of overcome with the urge to hit a jewel in the room in my Dads, and thinking if I could stay here I'd feel better, there was some part of feeling irritable in there, of not wanting to wake up as I was still too tired and maybe knowing it was a dream but also it could be real.

It felt very real because of the details and remarkableness of what was described, but it wasn't lucid.

When I woke up I was looking at the desk by my bed in my house. I think I had a could of dreams but I often only remember the last one like as I've described here.

I have absolutely wild dreams of space and planets or just travelling, but sometimes but these very normal ones unsettle me more as they feel as real as reality and so when you wake up it feels like you might still be dreaming for a while.

I somehow got split into three during an incident involving purchasing a car and leech (?).

Myself
A 190 year old (by his own chronological age) virtual version of myself that appeared to be in my 20s
Time traveler version of myself who could loop through the same time period over and over

For some reason the three of me were totally linked together, so I suppose we were actually the same person, or at least in the same body.

The second was a concious AI model of myself sent into time dialation to train up as a musician.
I was now capable of some degree of time dilation in the actual base world due to the time traveler version of me, which could obviously result in infinite regress if used poorly. My plan was to use my powers very knowingly. Something like a minute at a time seemed appropriate to avoid getting stuck in a single moment of time.

I was also very excited about having purchased a truck. It was large and I hardly could peer over the dashboard, like I was a little kid.

Eventually I decided to use my powers like so;
At the end of each day, which I'd lived many times, I'd be tasked with selecting which versions of it to remember. Id have to figure out which of the past tens of thousands of days were the most perfect. Each and every day. I'd end up selecting a years worth of memories.

I woke up in the middle of night to write this one, so I don't really know what to make of it.

I dreamt there was a new slave wave however all the races were involved this time and we were being overwatched by alien overlords.

It was dark smoky outdoor factory settings. The aliens made us collect scrap metal to build their new underfunded UFO.
The ones that didn't abide were beamed into outer space like floating pollen from a intergalactic laser operated by alien eye biometric scanners.

My friends were helping me build a underground escape route out of the factory with a plastic fork, two pennies, and a ballpoint pen we used to write eachother letters with. It was dark working hours. It was long working hours with little progress but three decades work of plastic fork digging was paying off. We managed to build an intricate tunnel with bunker room for escaped slaves. it was our sanction. We were soon to be free the enslavement camps. Or so we thought, as the aliens flashed their green laser flashlights into our bunker. Next a huge metal claw like the ones in toy machines swooped down and grabbed my best friend. He had helped me dig for half a century. Sayonara was to be said. We all fleed into the deep recesses of the tunnel. A light was shining at the end. We had made it. No more alien enslavement. No more best friend and no more nightmares

I was in a forest meadow swamp. The land was flooded. I was with many friends and we were exploring. There were short rolling hills, moist like moss, but covered in soft grass that flowed gently in the wind. The grass was as though it were painted, in shades of yellow flowing into red, tall and swaying in rhythm. Golden light flooded from above. It was all in perfect focus, and felt hyper real. It was staggeringly beautiful. We ran into someone having a staring contest with a frog and contemplated how cute frogs were. Its eyes were pitch dark, and yet the way the light shone off them it was captivating. The frog was caught and perched nervously upon the hand of the starer before flinging itself far away into the water. It immediately swam back to our island as it was the only land easily reached. The frog seemed sheepish as it crawled back up, and avoided us.
There was a massive gale of wind that swept the land and made the grass quiver. Many small white puffs of plant material whooshed by. People began taking photos and I realized I wanted one, but requested a friend to take one of me as my camera couldn't capture the depth of this strange place's color well. I sat posed upon a ridge and had my picture taken.

I had a dream I was some kind of wandering bum (or just a traveler mistaken for one), and I came across people running a donut stand in a park on the outskirts of a big city. They were about to leave and essentially hired me to run it while they were gone. I was supposed to keep tabs on what their competition was up to (there was another donut stand in the park), and I know there was something about how I was supposed to be involved with preparing the donuts somehow but had zero idea how I was supposed to do it. Other than that, I just sat around watching some John Wayne movie on an old TV that was nearby. The video quality looked like a beat-up VHS tape, so I imagine there was a VCR hooked up. Afterwards, I recall wandering around the city and getting completely lost and worrying about what I was going to tell the donut people when I got back to the park. They hadn't returned yet, but I had zero clue how to actually use the donut machine. I also get the feeling that there were other people I was traveling with originally or knew beforehand and intended to meet up with later, but we ended up losing contact.

My reward for taking on the work was just getting a free donut in advance, which seems like pretty underwhelming compensation. I remember feeling grateful to the people who gave me the work for whatever reason though. I wonder if the dream had something to do with the idea of loyalty and the question of when it's called for or not. It could also have something to do with my lack of confidence in my abilities and feeling like I struggle to do things other people have no problems with.

I thought the name Washington, Wisconsin rang a bell for me, so I looked it up and found this place:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Washington_Island,_Door_County,_Wisconsin
I seem to remember learning about a building owned by some neo-pagan with a Black Sun pattern on the floor, and I think it was located here. One of the details I recalled was it being on an island with an Icelandic connection, and, sure enough, this area was settled by Icelanders. The Iceland connection is a bit curious due to the link between Iceland and volcanoes. I doubt there are angry hicks in that area though.
