Post links to websites you subscribe to via RSS. Describe each of them a little if you care to.
I'm looking to branch out what I commonly read online, which is fake news and web comics.

Web Comics:
This makes up a bulk of what i subscribe to
https//:www.valsalia.com/feed -- Out of Placers
Fantasy comic with some dude turned into a different fantasy race that makes for some intrigue. It has its moments.

http://powernapcomic.com/rss.xml
Futuristic/sci fi setting where people take a pill instead of sleeping but some people are allergic to it.

https://well-of-souls.com/outsider/rss.xml -- Outsider
Futuristic setting with space ships. Humans are trying to decide which part of an inter-galactic war to take part in, focuses on one guy's point of view in a diplomatic with blue space elves.

https://themonsterunderthebed.net/?feed=rss2
Some kid meets a friend from the world under people's bed.

http://sssscomic.com/ssss-feed.xml Stand Still Stay Silent
Breifly goes from present day to a hundred or so years into the future. Humans get infected with a contagious disease/virus that turns them into dangerous trolls. Sets society back a lot and it reemerges with magic. Follows the adventures of a group going into uncharted terratory to bring back relics of the past. It has a really comfy art style

https://killsixbilliondemons.com/feed
Some dude gets kidnapped by something from the multiverse and his girlfriend goes to try and rescue him. Adventures, cool art and evil pants ensue.

http://www.paranatural.net/comic/rss
Some kid can see the spirit world in the new town he moves to and is recruited by a school club of similar people.

http://www.blastwave-comic.com/rss/blastwave.xml
Post apocalyptic somewhat random adventures of 2 soldiers from team red. This comic currently appears to be discontinued but I still hold up hope.

https://www.prequeladventure.com/feed/
Follow the agonizingly slow adventures of a cat with the worst luck thrown at her. Set in some version of Skyrim (or was it Oblivion?).

http://helvetica.jnwiedle.com/feed/
Some sort of drama about a skeleton. I've forgotten what it is about as I haven't read this comic in about 2 years.

http://feeds.feedburner.com/tidal/miamaska
A girl is transported through the multiverse (or was it thorugh time?) to a place where those types of people are feared for some reason. The comic author has stopped making comics for now because they were unable to make ends meet just doing that and currently has to focus on life.

http://twogag.com/comic/rss Two Guys and Guy
~741 random comics of Guy and her roommates.

Fake news:
https://www.theonion.com/rss
Satirical news articles since the 1980s!
https://www.clickhole.com/rss
Parody clickbait (is it even a parody at this point?)

Gone with the blastwave, out of placers, outsider, you've got good taste. Good enough I'll have to check up on some of the others. Myself, I don't use RSS much at all. I've been meaning to, for years. Hopefully going through this last haul of 150 000 unsorted images from pixiv will teach me to finally put an ounce of effort into organizing my workflow.

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm going to subscribe to some of these :)

I have been following this painter's blog for a time.
https://www.treeshark.com/treeblog/?feed=rss2
Sadly the last entry is a year old, and he posted sparingly before that.

https://ralee.org/rss - Syndication feed for a BBS
I wish that more textboards / communities (hell, maybe even imageboards) invested in RSS feeds

RSS feeds are so underrated, I meet so few people who know about it irl. I wish social media and truncated articles didn't ruin everything

Bruce Schneier's feed, mostly stuff about tech and cryptography
https://www.schneier.com/blog/atom.xml

The blog of a dude who rips obscure records from all kinds of traditional music. He's on soulseek too, I heard about it when he messaged me there.

Been searching for interesting RSS feeds but it's a chore, I have an e-reader which supports RSS which is neat but still remains pretty much unused since all the pages I frequent don't have RSS or have abandoned it.

Good thread, I wasn't aware that youtube supported RSS either.

Thank you for digging this thread up.

Recently I started considering using some RSS client, since I visit too many small, slow boards, some of which have RSS.
If I'm correct, this place unfortunately does not.

What reader do you use? I was looking for something cross-platform, preferably web-based... Miniflux seems to be the closest match so far.

Try reading Jerkcity.

I personally convert RSS feeds to Activitypub accounts and interact with the content that way.

it really depends what you're looking for. i used miniflux for a while, and it's very good. now i use fraidycat, because it's simpler and suits me better - i found the unread counts kind of distressing.

miniflux has a free trial for their hosted version, so there's nothing to lose on that front.

I use Inoreader as it's most similar to Google Reader, back when that existed. Nothing fancy, the web view and apps are both quite good.

that's really smart! I'll try to do this too, thank you for the inspiration.

I love using newsboat for my rss reader but I wish they had an option to sort by tags on startup by default.
https://newsboat.org/

I mostly just have YouTube feeds for hobbies I like.

https://www.youtube.com/feeds/videos.xml?channel_id=UCePDFpCr78_qmVtpoB1Axaw
Great Art Explained -- Video essays explaining the artist, historical context and success of well known pieces of art.

https://www.youtube.com/feeds/videos.xml?channel_id=UCwRqWnW5ZkVaP_lZF7caZ-g
Retro Game Mechanics -- Technical retrospectives of how 90's games were programmed to deal with the limitations of hardware

And I recently found out that arXiv has rss feeds too. Lots of technical papers there if anyone's interested
