Something I just thought of

Do people just not get the hiccups anymore? I haven't heard about them or seen anyone have them in years. I remember them cropping up all the time in comic strips and TV shows, but I can't even think of a reference to them past 2010.

I had a couple hiccups today, but now that you mention it, I can't think of any reference hiccups.

I thought the same thing about the state of hiccups, and shortly after I had hiccups so bad I started worrying that I was going to pay for all the years of missed hiccups retroactively. It just wouldn't go away. I tried everything short of jumpscares and it lasted most of the weekend, if not the week. It sure felt like forever. It was a nightmare, brace yourself OP.

You know, I can't recall the last time I had the hiccups. It's been a long time

It's probably been serveral months since I've had the hiccups. But I at least experience them a couple of times a year still yet.

I mean I don't get like a hiccup-spree that people think of when you think of a kid with the hiccups, but I always have hiccups at least every day, especially after eating. I'll get like a short period when I'm done eating, hiccup like 5 times and that's usually it.

Maybe you eat too fast?

I just got a hiccup from eating very hot peppers.

Very likely. I only eat once per day so once the meal finally comes around, I'm usually starving. But I like that feeling of eating to my heart's content every day so the starving feeling is welcome.

you shouldn't do that anon, you should eat many small meals

But it's time consuming to prepare all those meals and eat all those meals. Plus I end up eating more food on average, which comes out to more money. So eating only one big meal saves time cooking, time eating, and money.

You could cook just once and eat from that several times.

But then I'm wasting the time eating and cleaning, when I could be do something fun or productive, like video games or studying.

I really hate taking the time out of the day to have to worry about fixing something to eat let alone cleaning dishes, etc. I wish I could transfer my consciousness to a cybernetic body that didn't need to eat. I hate most human functionality for that matter.

I enjoy binge eating myself but hate it at the same time because I'm always more bloated than if I were to eat small meals throughout the day.

This is honestly right.
