two weeks ago, my dad disappeared in this forest while we were out picking for apples. i tried finding him, but i ended up getting lost here. i hope he's doing alright... it's getting awfully dark and cloudy now. ( ﾟ︿ﾟ )
anyway, it's dinner time. the red delicious apples have ripened!
what are red delicious apples?
i'm glad i asked! coming from peru, iowa, and originally named the "stark delicious" by the starks, these apples are 100% murrican, and was the #1 apple to grow in the US until recently, when they were outproduced by new zealander gala apples in 2018. you've probably seen these apples, and grocery stores love them because they're big and have skins with an attractive ruby color that doesn't fade. the apple has chewy, bitter skin and mildly sweet and soft flesh.
what does it look like?

not shown above is the intense ruby color red delicious apples can have: https://afternoon.dynu.com/1358/red_delicious.jpg
but as winter comes, unharvested apples can frost up, as shown in this picture: https://afternoon.dynu.com/1359/red_delicious_in_october_frost.jpg
and i managed to pick...
