[META] The bad news is in...

So many people like to hang out here -- nice people, sweet people, good people -- there are so many people who find joy in this web space, a refuge

Rudd "capey" Gullit, a notable Dutchman ran this place (Post Office) as well as another "Secret" place. He was 39 this year. The bad news is.... that 40 will never come for him... Rudd was out feeding people at the local homeless shelter (a sweet good Christian) when one of the Slav bastards had the NERVE to take out a home-made knife ("shiv") and STAB RUDD.

No one on IRC knows what will happen when the hosting bill stops getting paid... so let's take a moment now and remember this place, the Post Office's Letterbox, and the cheery Postmaster who managed things. Thank you, and God bless

I really hope this is fake.

Yeah I don't know, mate. The Netherlands is pretty small and I can't find anything on the news over here.

This has got to be fake.

Don't wanna be a meanie, but why does this bait keep getting bumped? Sage ettiquette on slow boards is appreciated!

I will never forget you.

Thank you Rudd....

Sage ettiquette on slow boards is also useless when you can find all the active boards of the past month on the first page.

What is sage etiquette?

Traditionally, saging isn't something you do out of spite. You're supposed to sage if you are making a post that doesn't add to the discussion or otherwise you deem shouldn't warrant bumping the thread.

Well I have an archive of this place now so if it does go down all the content can be put on something like neocities for all to go back and enjoy. If it doesn't go down then backups are always good.

I'm going to sage this thread as it might just be b8 but on the off chance, has anyone set this place up with the wayback-machine or some other archival site? You know, just to keep some of the memories of this place alive if OPs story is true?

same.

Rahim "capey" Hussein, a notable Iraqi ran this place (Post Office) as well as another "Secret" place. He was 39 this year. The bad news is.... that 40 will never come for him... Rahim was out saving a Reuters journalist who had been nearly murdered in an airstrike (a sweet good Muslim) when one of the American bastards had the NERVE to take out his Apache AH-64's 30 mm cannon and SHOOT CAPEY. His children, a girl and boy, suffered injuries. The girl suffered from a stomach wound and glass in her eyes, and the boy a head injury.

Here you can see it https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:CollateralMurder.ogv at 7:00.
