Romance, cute things, good plot, and psychological horror, eh?

Sounds like Mirai Nikki would be right up your alley. It has all of the above and more.

Sounds like you've tried to do so in the past.

What did you watch that turned you off?

Well. Nothing really turned me off. I just can't seem to stick with a show.

I can watch a bunch of seasons from a regular show like "Community", but I can't seem to stick with anime. I dunno why.

Thanks! I'll check that out!

Could you list a few you have tried? It would help narrow down the recommendations.

Community was really nice, but they really dropped the ball in later seasons.

Well. I've tried: Nichijou, Squid Girl(Which I really did like.), FMA, Serial Experiments Lain(Which I plan to finish.)

Annnd that's about it.

Try Sora no Woto.

You should probably try one of kyoani's more popular creations like Haruhi or K-ON! since those get a lot of people into anime. You can also not go wrong with something like The Tatami Galaxy, though you might appreciate it more after having watched a couple of shows.
