I'm trying out this new encrypted, decentralized, P2P letter messaging thing called Bitmessage. It's based on Bitcoin and written in Python. I use encrypted Jabber for real-time messaging but to write simple letters without attachments to friends this seems like a pretty great thing, so I want to give it a try! Want to try it with me?
A windows binary can be downloaded here...
https://bitmessage.org/wiki/Main_PageAnd instructions to install on OSX or Linux are here...(it's easy, don't worry.)
https://bitmessage.org/wiki/Compiling_instructionsAnd a guide on how to set yourself up with your first Bitmessage are here, but it's pretty straight forward anyway.
