Threads not going through bug fixed

1 Name: !Capey7gV1s : 2013-10-06 09:14
I lost the subject for two threads; if the OPs could post their original subjects here I will put them in the right place.

I finally found the bug that caused some threads to not go through for the last couple of weeks and it's fixed as of today.

Photoboard was the subject for:
The file size is way too low to upload most images that I want to upload.

Also, please change this! I seriously can't post anything.

Thanks, it has been changed back.

How high would you prefer the maximum filesize?

The current hosting only allows 500MB of disk space usage; 12% of which is currently filled by the photoboard. If we want to host larger images, that space would fill up even quicker.

I made the photoboard with the intent of it being a place where the photos would be stored forever, but it could just as easily have a system where every new image pushes off the oldest from the board.

Oh, I deleted the other thread, because we're basically having that discussion here.

Fine by me.

I'd rather have a system that pushes the images off of the server. 500MB will fill up quickly regardless of the file size, and there isn't much use for a huge collection of random photos like that. If I am going to browse that many images, I am going to use an image-centric website, with proper search features.

If I had my druthers, the file size would be very large. I'd like to post high-quality pictures, as most artwork online is pretty high resolution. I'm not sure what the optimal file size limit is, but it should probably be at least double what it is now.

The maximum filesize of the Photoboard has been upped from 400kb to 1.5MB. It has been set up to host up to 400 images and it will automatically prune the oldest one when image number 401 is posted.

If there's anything else I can improve, please let me know.

pruning images

Now the most difficult decision is here, to save all or save a few.

This was a feature requested by someone on IRC:
You can now also click on the stamp that decorates thread pages to view the full image.
