I've had pain down the lower back/right leg for the past 6 months or so and I've only recently gotten around to checking it out.

I thought I had some flexibility issues but after an MRI yesterday it turns out I have a herniated disc. I'm close to crying right now. I'm only 20 and I finally have a decent job and am getting my life together.

I'm terrified once I go to the neurosurgeon he's going to say the only solution is surgery and then I'll be out for a year out of work and it's going to throw me back to the bottom of the hole just as I was dragging myself out.

It's times like these I wish I was an alcoholic.
