I found this old Japanese post office scooter while on vacation in Sri Lanka. It was parked outside a convenience store in Batticaloa, where the owner was showing it off to his friends. They weren't too impressed with how old it was and how much maintenance it still needed. He was amazingly happy when I started taking photographs, nudging his friends while pointing and smiling. I now kind of regret not approaching them after giving him the universal thumbs up. Here are a couple of pictures:

Dude knows his stuff, the old C series is pretty much immortal. Always wanted one, but at 6'1" I'm just too big.

That's amazing! I can't believe there's one just laying around. How'd it even get to Sri Lanka?

I saw a another one standing in the field when I was on my way to Kandy. Sri Lanka has a lot of ties with Japan, but I was really surprised to see another one so soon.
