This board would be great

if it got more than a couple posts per week.

I feel the same way. I think it's because it's so small there's little push to create OC for it, but of course because there's no OC it won't grow. While it's lovely to have such a calm, unfocused board, it's also the cause for it's silence.

It can't be helped, I don't really mind though.

Discussion tends to be a bit nicer on a smaller and slower messageboards.
That's also what makes this such a relaxing place.

Although this textboard may be a bit slow in terms of new posts, it's what keeps the community nice.

Compared to most textboards, this is probably one of the best sites out there. The fact is that this board is probably not going to become trendy overnight, despite all the gimmicks that the site owner likes to throw in, but it's unique enough to where I can confidently say that there will be a devoted userbase consistently posting on this site on maybe a weekly or monthly basis. That is to say, my hypothesis is that the site might be slow, but it will remain relatively active for a considerably longer time than most imageboards and textboards tend to last.
