A documentary style video of some time I spent camping along the coastline. This is not a survival video, I'm just out enjoying some time away.

Those by Werner Herzog. In particular,
The White Diamond (2004)
Encounters at the End of the World (2007)
Cave of Forgotten Dreams (2010)
are the most soothing ones.

It's by no means soothing, but Hearts of Darkness (1993) is very good if you enjoyed Apocolypse Now.

Any and all of the Attenborough nature documentaries. Frozen Planet, Life, Planet Earth, and The Blue Planet were all particularly good, and filmed in HD. Atlantic and South Pacific, too.

Human Planet is fantastic, though I don't really know if you'd consider it relaxing. Interesting and well filmed, and good to see a bit of "Actually, humans are pretty cool too." from the nature documentary filmmakers.
