Statue of a Man
----
Silent, cold, and still.
Black stone skin.
Lines of his form flowing like water into oblivion.
The texture like rasping sandpaper.
Fingers melting from the hand.
Bones sticking through the putty of tangled fingers, like a steel frame of a ruined concrete building.
Muscles given form by the slightest shadows become a hulking mass.
The man towers like an omen.
The stone parts to reveal the man's brass blood.
The silent rock is shouting in anguish.
In the darkness, the man disappears, and only the blood on his face exists.
