how did you discover this site?
1 Name: Anonymous : 2017-11-21 10:20
from a friend? or are you a textboard nerd? maybe you just came across it out of chance?
2 Name: Anonymous : 2017-11-21 18:11
I don't remember how I found ykkaria. Maybe I came from tohno-chan.
3 Name: Anonymous : 2017-11-21 23:21
I don't remember how I first came here. I suppose I found a link somewhere else. I really enjoy visiting small chans, so I may have found the Letterbox in one of my searches for such things.
Anyway, I've been here for three or four years now. It's one of my favorite places on the net. I love how it's active enough to have conversations, but slow enough that you feel you have time to think through your posts very thoroughly.

I came from Sushichan. They said this was a comfy textboard, and they were right.
5 Name: Anonymous : 2017-11-22 11:10
I saw it mentioned on I think 4-ch. Maybe saovq. Can’t remember how I found either of those though.
6 Name: Anonymous : 2017-11-22 14:08
I was searching for new imageboards and on a random one somebody else was doing the same, now i'm here. It's been pretty fun so far.

From a thread on /a/ about iyashikei manga and anime. Someone linked something from here about, uh, an actual wooden handmade version of the wooden painted fish on a keychain that Alpha makes in YKK. I have actually been trying to find the photos of it for a long time, but I can't.

I'm not much of a textboard nerd, but I've been into imageboards for about a decade now. I saw this place mentioned on sushichan, and decided to come here since it sounded like a nice relaxing site. I forgot how long I've been lurking, but it's only been for a month or two.
9 Name: Anonymous : 2017-12-03 09:12
I should put this on my CV.
10 Name: Anonymous : 2017-12-03 23:33
I'd hire you on the spot.
11 Name: Anonymous : 2017-12-04 08:52
Someone had it in a homepage thread on lainchan.
12 Name: Anonymous : 2017-12-05 08:13
I think it was when I was trying to track down more info about YKK, so I found the dead Misago forum, from there I found that giant iyashikei thread in the archives of /a/, then the remnants of ykkaria, then the IRC, then here!>>7
13 Name: Anonymous : 2017-12-07 05:08
I found that list of boards that occasionally makes the rounds on 4chan now and again.
I went scouring through all that shit for a few days until I found this place. I was in a hotel on my little notebook at the time. Sitting on the small table they always set next to the TV. So damn comfy. Been hooked since 2014.
Jesus. How much I've changed as a person since then is shocking.
14 Name: Anonymous : 2017-12-13 19:29
YOU HAD IT THIS WHOLE TIME!
15 Name: Anonymous : 2017-12-17 14:50
someone on /tea/ recommended checking it out>>12
it's pretty! i always wanted to make one too
16 Name: Anonymous : 2017-12-18 07:23
From ykkaria, ykkaria someone linked me to in 4chen's /a/
17 Name: Anonymous : 2018-08-06 18:01
I found it on a startpage I found on /wg/
18 Name: Anonymous : 2018-08-07 02:47
I found the link posted on Sushichan while I was wandering the web for interesting image/textboards. At the time I had finally felt burnt out after 10 years of exclusive 4chan use and was searching for a new place to call home. I love the atmosphere and slow pace of this board so much. It's exactly what I was looking for. I check in here and the Bus Stop (which I found in the Cool Places internet edition thread) almost daily now.
19 Name: Anonymous : 2018-08-07 03:00
lots of people coming from sushichan! i did too. i like to browse small boards early in the morning, the kind of early where it feels like you're the only living thing awake
20 Name: Anonymous : 2018-08-07 05:38
Temporary r/a/dio refuge.
21 Name: Anonymous : 2018-08-07 13:01
I've read a novel.
22 Name: Anonymous : 2018-08-07 13:10
Stumbled upon this site about a year ago, can't remember where I found it.
23 Name: Anonymous : 2018-08-07 23:09
Came across it out of chance.
24 Name: Anonymous : 2018-08-16 05:10
Was looking for an chan that's long gone but came across this on a list.
25 Name: Anonymous : 2018-08-16 06:18
Yea pretty much an underground internet community nerd
26 Name: Anonymous : 2018-08-18 02:33
I was here back when this was just another imageboard but with the iyashikei theme. Was incredibly comfy. Afternoon Cafe i think it was called, it's been years since. The layout here is unique but I feel like we still lost somthing. Images and posting still feel too seperate.
27 Name: Anonymous : 2018-08-18 22:09
What was it like then? Did something happen to end that time?
28 Name: Anonymous : 2018-08-19 01:49
seems like part of it is hidden away although it also says on some pages that it's a google cache(whatever that means). all the images are broken too which is a shame. it was a very comfy place that was envisioned to by a cafe of sorts but the owner wanted to do a more "letter" themed place where we could all be penpals. hence the mail theme.
29 Name: Anonymous : 2018-08-19 01:51
Also it was centered around the manga ykk and the anime aria to give you an idea of what it was going for.
30 Name: Anonymous : 2018-08-19 05:47
Yeah, I was looking for communities, or even people who knew about this splendid, unknown manga when I found this place. Judging by that old archive, this place has a lot of history and I really sorta want to know.
31 Name: Anonymous : 2018-09-05 19:34
from 4-ch LOL
32 Name: Anonymous : 2018-09-05 21:52
4chan /g/ has been having threads on lesser known communities recently and this was posted. Seems pretty chill so far!
33 Name: Anonymous : 2018-09-05 21:57
I've seen that thread. Welcome to the Post Office, friendo!
We have a thread about cool places here, too. Maybe you can find more places there aswell.
34 Name: Anonymous : 2018-09-06 23:10
35 Name: Anonymous : 2018-09-08 00:30
This was listed somewhere as "Retard Rodeo" and I had to see what it was. lol
36 Name: Anonymous : 2018-09-08 11:24
Yeah, tokiko is really mad at the owner of this site for some reason.
37 Name: Anonymous : 2018-09-08 21:28
Even now, in the distant future - internets drama is still a thing, huh?
38 Name: Anonymous : 2018-09-09 00:14
Tokiko is a filthy fucking waste of space and should die.
I hate him so much.
39 Name: Anonymous : 2018-09-09 14:45
it was posted in SAOVQ back in 2013
40 Name: Anonymous : 2018-09-10 03:04
Someone posted a list of imageboards on a wizchan thread on cool places on the internet (coincidentally there's a thread just like that here), which I found this under the textboard section. Can't say it wasn't a neat find.
41 Name: Anonymous : 2018-09-10 11:21
some nigga finna dabbed on me and said he was from here.
42 Name: Anonymous : 2018-09-13 00:05
I JUST remembered textboards after stopping socializing with strangers in about 2008, 4-ch was my go-to and the corpse of that site recommended me here. Comfy desu.
43 Name: Anonymous : 2018-09-15 07:39
Textboard nerd. I found it through I think the 4-ch textboard and some other places like SAoVQ that I found through the old 4chan textboards before they were shut down. Then I forgot about it. Then I remembered and now I'm back.
44 Name: Anonymous : 2018-09-19 18:18
Anon from the other new imageboard site told me this place had discussions related to life and such.

47 Name: Anonymous : 2018-10-15 15:13
When you do nothing but look at image boards and text boards all day you tend to end up in these places.
48 Name: Anonymous : 2018-11-01 02:34
I was looking up how to build a anonymous, registration free, forum with a visual layout that isn't too difficult on the eyes, when I was introduced to the concepts of textboards. I have used imageboards extensively in the past so I figured I would go down the list of active English ones to see what they look like and what software they used to create them.
This site was on the list of ones that currently still are up and running.
So far this site has one of the better layouts and is the most ascetically pleasing when it comes to threads, but the board and main page are kind of a mess.
49 Name: Anonymous : 2019-02-06 05:36
probly from 8chan lol
50 Name: Anonymous : 2019-02-07 21:09
Someone on 4-ch General directly linked to the home page here. I was going to link back to the thread that I saw it linked, but it was gone. Maybe it was a hallucination? Someone playing with my fate and made me go to this site while making me believe that I was simply clicking a link? Oh well, I'll be here to stay as long as I keep working at office jobs.

52 Name: Anonymous : 2019-02-08 19:54
Yep, that was the one. I guess I had closed the tab that had that thread because I tried to CTRL-F "afternoon" but couldn't find it anywhere.
53 Name: Anonymous : 2019-02-11 09:17
Just found it via google. Will now lurk and enjoy comfiness.
54 Name: Anonymous : 2019-02-11 16:23
What kind of search term did you use to locate this site? It seems so far out of the way that you would almost already have to know what you were looking for.

56 Name: Anonymous : 2019-02-12 07:40
literally "list of message boards" or so which directed me to a thread on tinychan (or so? it was an ugly message board).
I love the design of this one though. Really really pretty. Perfectly minimal and yet elegant and keeping the theme. Love it.
57 Name: Anonymous : 2019-02-15 06:24
I was googling around for good message boards and found grey's article that mentioned this. I like this a lot more than others I found because this has much less emphasis on anime (which I'm not a fan of at all). Here's the page; it has other cool boards: http://grey.sdf-eu.org/papers/chan.html
58 Name: Anonymous : 2019-02-17 09:10
Oh hey that's me.
I'm in the process of rebuilding my entire website. I forgot that was even there. Hi!
59 Name: Anonymous : 2019-02-17 18:32
Do you happen to know what went down at tablecat's lounge?
60 Name: Anonymous : 2019-02-19 08:20
Hiya! Do you still hang around on #jp? It seems that most of the interesting people have left there by now.>>59
Not him, but Tablecat's Lounge was a fairly active textboard featuring some colorful personalities from 4chan's lounge. It was hosted on a free hosting service and went down numerous times, occasionally losing some posts.
Then RedCream died and the board became flooded with his mourners and activity slowed down. A while later the admin lost interest and didn't bother reopening the site after it went down again. Fairly sad that it's gone.

I have seen a post on a thread on sushigirls.us advertising this site on came here that way. I am not really sure if I should stay here or not. I have some problems with the design of the website.
62 Name: Anonymous : 2019-02-27 18:10
I came here from https://agree.5ch.net/img8/.
I am really enjoying the visual design.
63 Name: Anonymous : 2019-03-03 04:13
one of my friends linked me to this place about the reading thread. Gotta say that this place is pretty nice
64 Name: Anonymous : 2019-03-10 01:58

this is my first post on here but just looking through some of the posts on here this place seems comfy.

I love seeing old threads and having to take multiple minutes to remember if:
1, I posted in this thread already or not
2. If I did, which posts were mine
It's a very unique feeling. My post is only a year and some months old though, nothing like those guys from 2017.
