What have you bought lately? I went to an art's and crafts store called michaels since I needed some inking pens and didn't want to wait but didn't know where else I could find them. They had a wonderful selection of arts and crafts stuffs obviously but their sketching sections was wonderful. Lots of types of pencils that I would only find on amazon otherwise as well as rows and rows of different types os sketch pads and paper. I ended up getting my pens but also a mini posing figure, a cute 6 inch architect's ruler and a nice sharpener.

How strange that if I had bought it on amazon i wouldn't have felt nearly as happy as when I left the store but then again it's been awhile since I felt that good about a purchase. As if I won something.

Bought a nice office chair for my desk. Sure beats the dining table chair I was using before.

Buying from Amazon is convenient, but lacks the same feel as stores, and you're also killing off small businesses when you buy from Amazon. They have a lot of unethical business practices and also treat their employees and vendors poorly. They often force people to sell their products for lower prices, or they will copy a name brand product and call it "Amazon Basics" as a generic brand and then drive that company out of business because the Amazon Basic version will be shown before the name brand in a search.

Jeff Bezos has $156 billion and his accumulation of wealth is showing no signs of slowing down. But this is at the cost of mom and pop shops, as well as overworked Amazon warehouse workers, who have been known to pee in bottles because they're not allowed to take breaks.

Sellers on amazon these days mostly just dropship chink items from alibaba/aliexpress. The search feature is utter garbage and 95% of the products you'll see for searches such as "chair" or "umbrella" are substandard quality products that will break within a few months. Reviews are entirely gamed too.

When Amazon became available in my country I got a bit excited because it had some things I couldn't find anywhere else. Still I have never bought anything there and now it would feel just wrong.
I really enjoy small shops, small shops that aren't owned by big chains and multinationals, shops with their own identity.
Sadly those are becoming scarce but the few I know of I try to visit regularly and support. We have a small local vegetable market and it's always a treat to walk around, smell the fresh air inside and the products are always a bit better quality than what you find in supermarkets.

It's kind of a shame that Amazon has become Sears circa 1920, but with much lower quality & shady sellers. Mom & pop shops are much better in my opinion, but it's hard to find good places.

I don't like buying things. It's hard to choose and I am anxious to pay only to find out that I could have brought something much better for cheaper later.

I've been thinking about buying an italic-nib fountain pen. Pilot sells some cheap ones for about $7.

Bought an AUX adapter for my car radio. It still takes CDs but with the adapter that gets plugged into the back of the radio it will take USB and AUX. The installation will be fiddly since my radio is firmly build in and I am not particularly good with tools and crafty stuff but with the help of google even a dunce like me can do it.

I got a shirt from one of my favorite bands, duster! It feels really nice to support the music you love.

I went to DeSerres last week to buy a bone folder, but they were sold out.

My dad's birthday is coming up. He's got an interest military aircraft so I'm thinking of getting him Sled Driver.
