What do I do if I lose an eye?

In a purely hypothetical scenario, say I get one of my eyes gouged out. What then? Do I wear an eyepatch like a pirate for the rest of my life? Or is there some modern medicine asspull like a camera attached to my nerve or something?

A lot of people get glass eyes I think, but I don't know the specifics.
Personally, I would opt for the eye patch because people won't be spending all their time trying to figure out what's "off" about your face. They just see the eye patch and instantly know "Oh something bad happened." You won't have to worry about people trying to steal glances at your eyes,
