hullo, am new here, anything I should know?

there is a list of popular textboards that was compiled by a couple redditors. found this place through there.https://docs.google.com/document/d/1t10VI-sccy1CfAeMZHwmCS_7agIHFo_B5ipMjzsMtTg/edit#

What happened to the usual "lurk moar" mentality? Didn't the redditors ever tell you to do that? Even joining some subreddit usually requires people to read the damn sidebar. I know that much without even going there.

5 minutes lurking around, reading older threads and you would know *exactly* what you should know about this place. It's really not that complicated.

The list you've linked wasn't made by redditors. I imagine saying that might be disgraceful to its creator, who's even named in the header.

I shouldn't probably be replying to this thread, but for the sake of all that's holy...

Indeed, you shouldn't have.

after having lurked the board for a little while, I regret that I made that first post, cause this place is pretty straight forward. Also, having looked back on the post that I found the list they were claiming to have made it. apologies for this post in general and if any of my previous statements have annoyed anyone

Likewise, sorry to have overreacted. Most places like this one you'll come across will be just as straightforward. Educating yourself on a culture of a place you're entering is usually the first thing to do in any context, even IRL.

In any case, enjoy your stay.

Also doesn't help when you announce yourself as an outsider (from anywhere, not just reddit). Next time you join an anonymous community, just try to post in a similar fashion as everyone else unless you want more of this thread.

It's obviously a slow website, so when people make dumb posts, we have to see it for weeks. Also, sage means you can post without bumping. It's a great tool.
